CAPACITY BUILDING ON LARVAL FISH IDENTIFICATION FOR MEMBER COUNTRIES

The Second Regional Training Workshop on Larval Fish Identification and Fish Early Life History Science was organized by the SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) from 4 to 14 July 2016 at TD office, Samut Prakan, Thailand. Nineteen participants from Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam who attended the First Regional Training Workshop as basic course participated in this Training Workshop. This advance course is focused on identification of Engraulid and Scombrid larval up to genus or species level. The participants were expected to understand on larval fish terminology, the techniques of larval fish identification and illustration which can be applied for their job.
