TD organized the University Student Training Course on Utilization and Sustainable Fishery Resource from 12 to 22 October 2009 at the Training Department. TD invited 45 representative university students in fisheries from seven universities to attend the training course. The training course aimed to develop the skills of the students in responsible fishing operations. As part of the training course, the students were conducted on a study tour and taught the various aspects of the utilization of fishery resources and sustainable development. Moreover, practical sessions on fishing operations using gill net, collapsible crab trap and oceanography were done at sea in Rayong Province. TD hopes that the students can apply the new experience from the training course to their work in the future.
