The SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) in collaboration with Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (MFRDMD) organized the Working Groups Meeting and Technical Meeting on Joint Program on Tuna Research in Sulu and Sulawesi Seas (SSSs) from 10 to 11 February 2015 at Bangkok, Thailand. Thirty participants from Member Countries concerned namely; Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippine through Japanese expert, SEAFDEC Secretariat, TD and MFRDMD staff participated in this Meeting. The Meeting came up with: 1) progress report of survey activities implementing by the Project’s Participating Countries on data collected at the selected landing sites; 2) progress of the historical data collection and future works for stock assessments; 3) agreed timeframe of activities in year 2015 for the joint research program on tuna research in SSSs; and 4) final cruise plan for research activities in SSSs using M.V.SEAFDEC2 in the year 2015 adopted by Project’s Participating Countries.
