SEAFDEC/TD Welcomes Japanese Ambassador to Discuss Training Vessel Collaboration

Dr. Suttinee Limthammahisorn, SEAFDEC Secretary General and Chief of the Training Department and Dr. Tomoko Nakazato, SEAFDEC Deputy Secretary General and Deputy Chief of the Training Department lead SEAFDEC/TD staff gave a warm welcome His Excellency Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand and their colleagues on 18 October 2024 to official visit SEAFDEC/TD. The main objectives to visit were to share information of current situation of M.V. SEAFDEC and M.V. SEAFDEC 2 through discussion on the possibilities of future collaboration between SEAFDEC and the Embassy of Japan. In this occasion His Excellency Ambassador Otaka and his colleagues had the opportunity to tour the SEAFDEC’s training vessels: M.V. SEAFDEC and M.V. SEAFDEC 2, gaining firsthand insights into their capabilities and the training programs they support.
