The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) successfully convened its 2nd Quarterly Meeting to follow up on project implementation for Q1 and Q2 of 2026 from 21 to 23 April 2026 at its Conference Room. The meeting brought together 40 participants (22 male and 18 female) from key divisions, including the Training and Research Supporting Division (TRSD), the Research and Development Division (RDD) and the Project Planning and Management Division (PPMD).
The three-day meeting served as an important platform to review the progress of ongoing projects and activities, while also addressing challenges and identifying practical solutions to enhance implementation. In 2026, SEAFDEC/TD is implementing a total of 23 projects, comprising 11 projects under the Fisheries Consultative Group of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Strategic Partnership (FCG/ASSP), 12 projects under the Departmental Program, and one reinstated project, as endorsed at the 48th Program Committee Meeting held from 3 to 5 November 2025.
Participants actively shared updates on project progress and exchanged insights on key issues such as coordination mechanisms, resource management, and effective monitoring of outputs. The discussions highlighted the importance of strong collaboration across divisions to ensure timely and impactful delivery of project results.
The meeting is expected to further strengthen internal coordination, enhance project monitoring systems, and improve overall implementation effectiveness, thereby supporting the successful achievement of SEAFDEC/TD’s strategic objectives for 2026.
