The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Teleworkshop on Development and Improvement of Regional Fishing Vessels Record (RFVR) for Combating IUU fishing in the Southeast Asia” from 28 to 30 September 2021 via zoom platform. The aims to 1) reviewing, exchanging and updating the information on vessel registration and fishing license through the implementation activities to combat IUU fishing among AMSs, and 2) improving the RFVR database management and operations through the introduction and demonstration of the use of template/format of CSV/Excel file to upload the KDEs to the RFVR database. There were twenty (20) participants who are SEAFDEC’s national RFVR focal points and fisheries officer of AMSs attended in this Teleworkshop. In the end, the Teleworkshop came up with updated information of vessels registration and fishing license through the implementation of activities to combat IUU fishing among AMSs, and understanding of the introduced template/format for uploading the KDEs of RFVR database in order to get such real-time information by AMSs.
