The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized “The Regional Workshop on Finalizing Training Modules of Gender Mainstreaming in Small-scale Fisheries from 27 to 29 June 2022 in Chonburi province, Thailand which aims to recheck the effectiveness of the module with the person who has experience with gender. There were 22 participants (18 female and 4 male) who are the gender focal point person from Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand as well as SEAFDEC staff from SEAFDEC Secretariat, SEAFDEC/TD, Aquaculture Department (AQD), Marine Fisheries Resources and Development and Management Department (MFRDMD), and Inland Fisheries Resources and Development and Management Department (IFRDMD) attended this Workshop. The experts from Kasetsart University, Mahidol University, and Prince of Songkla University were invited as resource persons. This workshop emphasized the validation of two (2) training modules on gender mainstreaming in the value chain of small-scale fisheries such as 1) Training course on Gender Mainstreaming in Fishery Sectors and 2) Training on Integrating Gender in Fisheries. These training modules were developed during the writeshop in May and June 2022.
