Training Course on Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management for Mekong River

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the tailor-made “The Training Course on Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) for Mekong River” from 7 to 11 November 2022, in SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. There were 18 fishery officers (9 females and 9 males) from the Department of Fisheries, Thailand who work in the provinces connected to the Mekong River participating in this training course. The training focused on the principle of EAFM with the application for the Mekong River. Moreover, group discussions and participation were conducted. In the end, the participants are expected to understand the principle of EAFM through the process of EAFM and apply the knowledge from this training to their work.
