Fisheries Socio-economic data collection in Kawthaung, Myanmar

The Small-scale Fisheries Management for Better Livelihood and Fisheries Resources project conducted the data collection on the status of fisheries socio-economic at a learning site in Kawthaung, Myanmar from 1 to 4 June 2023. The aim is to generate baseline information on the demographic and socio-economic conditions to further develop the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) plan. The data were collected by using questionnaires to interview small-scale fishers at Chaung Wa village, Kawthaung District, Tanintharyi Region in Myanmar. There were 50 respondents who engage in the fisheries sector. The raw data will be input into Microsoft Excel format and sent to SEAFDEC/TD for data analysis.
