Tailor-made Training Course on Marine Steering Gear System

As requested by the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus, “Tailor-made Training Course on Marine Steering Gear System” was organized by SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) for 13 students from 13 to 19 November 2023 at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. This training aims to build capacity for understanding and increase knowledge through experience in marine steering gear systems. The lecture on steering principles, steering gear electrical control, hydraulic power-operated rudder systems, and hydraulic power rotary pumps was imparted by the second engineer of M.V. SEAFDEC and his team. Moreover, the student had a chance to visit M.V. SEAFDEC and practice on steering gear system in M.V. SEAFDEC. The student can apply knowledge and experience from this training for their job in the future.
