Project End Meeting on Responsible Fishing Technology and Practice

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Project End Meeting on Responsible Fishing Technology and Practice” from 19 to 21 August 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Meeting aimed to summarize project implementation from 2020-2024, sharing and exchanging the ongoing activities and ideas on responsible fishing and technology practices. Fifty-two participants who are responsible for fishing gear technology, marine engineering technology, and post-harvest fish handling from ASEAN Member States (AMSs) participated in this Meeting. The Meeting was separated into three sessions 1) fishing technologies, 2) marine engineering technologies, and 3) post-harvest fish handling. In the end, the Meeting came up with key achievements of project implementation, recommendations, and way forwards for promoting responsible fishing and technology practices in Southeast Asia.
