Baseline Survey and Verification of Key Data Elements for eACDS in Cambodia

Four staffs of project “Strengthening Regional Cooperation and Enhancing National Capacities to Eliminate IUU Fishing in Southeast Asia” from the SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) in collaboration with Fisheries Administrative (FiA), Cambodia conducted a baseline survey on electronic Catch Documentation Scheme (eACDS) implementation and verification of Key Data Elements (KDEs) for eACDS application in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia. The introduction and preparation of eACDS implementation was informed and discussed. A survey and visit of fishing port in Koh Kong Province was also conducted and observed. The results of baseline survey and verification of KDEs for eACDS will be used to develop and upload to eACDS application through database for Cambodia. Moreover, the way forward of eACDS implementation such as training course on use of eACDS application in the part of Catch Declaration (CD) was discussed and planned to organize in June 2023.
