Regional Workshop on EAFM Implementation: Sharing Results and Lessons Learned from 2025 Activities & Planning for 2026

The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD), co-organized the Regional Workshop on EAFM Implementation: Sharing Results and Lessons Learned from 2025 Activities & Planning for 2026 with the DOF of Malaysia in Pulau Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia, on 25–26 November 2025, as part of the BOBLME Phase II project. The workshop aimed to review 2025 achievements, share lessons learned, and discuss future action plans for 2026 and beyond, including the challenges and resources needed for implementing the EAFM component of the BOBLME Phase II project. The event successfully gathered a total of 35 participants (16 female and 19 male representatives), composed of EAFM Core Teams, Project Steering Committee (PSC) Members, BOBP-IGO representatives, and fishers from the pilot sites in Thailand. Day 2 featured a crucial field visit to an EAFM pilot site in Malaysia, aiming to strengthen regional networks and increase the practical understanding of EAFM implementation.
