National Training Course on Fisheries Management Tools

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized “The National Training Course on Fisheries Management Tools for Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM)” from 22 to 26 August 2022 at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. There were 18 participants who are EAFM trainers of the Department of Fisheries, Thailand attending this training. The course objective is to provide the participants with knowledge and skills that would enable them to identify the appropriate management tools that address common EAFM issues in Thailand. In the end, the training came up with enhanced awareness of and familiarity with the EAFM management tools through increased effectiveness of participants to select the management tools that could be used for implementation of the EAFM in their works. This training belongs to the project “Small-scale Fisheries Management for Better Livelihood and Fisheries Resources”.
