Mr. Thaweesak Thimkrap

Marine Engineering Section Head (MESH)
He is a marine engineering and fisheries technology professional with extensive experience in sustainable fishing operations, energy optimization, and capacity building across Southeast Asia. He has served as an activity leader and technical expert for numerous national, regional, and internationally funded projects, with a strong focus on improving working conditions and reducing labor onboard purse seine fishing vessels, as well as enhancing onboard post-harvest fish handling techniques using RSW (Refrigerate Sea Water) and Sea Water sherbet ice. With over a decade at SEAFDEC, he drives capacity building through international training and workshops. His research experience covers energy audits for fishing vessels, fish passage engineering, sustainable fishing gear design, cold chain and onboard preservation technologies, and labor-saving innovations for fishing operations.

Mr. Khunthawat Manomayidthikarn

Marine Engineer (ME)
As a Marine Engineer at SEAFDEC/TD, he addresses sustainable fisheries challenges in Southeast Asia through expertise in propulsion, refrigeration, and hydraulics. He advances vessel retrofitting and gear modernization to lower fuel use and emissions, leads workshops for fishers on efficiency and safety, and has introduced labor-saving systems that improve workplace safety and reduce onboard labor.
