SEAFDEC/TD-JAMSTEC Joint Research Program on a Tropical Ocean Climate and Fisheries Resources Study

The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD), in collaboration with Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) to initiate Joint Research Program on a Tropical Ocean Climate and Fisheries Resources Study. One of the Joint Research Program activities is M.V. SEAFDEC cruise activities in the eastern Indian Ocean.

On 4 December 2025, A team of researchers and engineers from JAMSTEC visited SEAFDEC/TD to inspect the working area onboard M.V. SEAFDEC for the deployment of oceanographic moorings buoy in the eastern Indian Ocean. And SEAFDEC/TD, JAMSTEC and Yamato transport company held a discussion meeting to prepare for the deployment of oceanographic moorings buoy future plan for the next year. This meeting was attended by a total of 21 participants (Female 7 and Male 14) from JAMSTEC, Yamato transport company, and SEAFDEC/TD.
