SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) extended a warm welcome to 3 delegations from the SEAFDEC Inland Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (SEAFDEC/IFRDMD) on 25 July 2025. The visit aimed to foster stronger ties and explore avenues for future cooperation. The SEAFDEC/IFRDMD delegation participated in a comprehensive tour of SEAFDEC/TD’s facilities. This included an in-depth look at the fishing workshop, where they observed practical training exercises and equipment demonstrations. They also visited the engineering workshop, gaining insights into the maintenance and technological aspects of post-harvest fishing. A highlight of the tour was visiting the M.V. SEAFDEC, the department’s research and training vessel, providing a firsthand understanding of its capabilities and operational scope. These observations were expected to lay crucial groundwork for potential future cooperative initiatives, particularly in the development and implementation of joint training programs in the future.
