Thai Fishermen Visits SEAFDEC/TD

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) welcomed three representative fishermen from Ranong Fisheries Association who are trawler from Ranong Province, Thailand on 2 December 2020. The aims of this visit are increase knowledges, experiences through discussion on trawl operation technique as their capacity building.  In this regard, SEAFDEC/TD introduced the missions and roles of organization through materials and equipment technologies on trawl operation to save energy and fuel when its operation included fish handling technology on board. The visitors also observed demonstration of how to use the test tank for testing on relevant of water current rate with trawl operation.
