Training Course on the Compilation of Inland Fishing Gear and Methods in Thailand

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized the “Training Course on the Compilation of Inland Fishing Gear and Methods in Thailand” from 30 September to 4 October 2024 at the Phisamulok Inland Fisheries Research and Development Center and the Yom River area, located in Phitsanulok and Sukhothai Province, Thailand. The Training aimed to enhance the knowledge and capacity for surveying and collection data on inland fishing gear and methods for 20 officers from the Inland Fisheries Research and Development Division, the Department of Fisheries, Thailand. The training subject focused on the principle of fishing gear, survey method, and identification of fishing gear. Moreover, the practical information collection and recording of fishing gear was conducted in the field. The participants were expected to understand and increase their skills to apply for the job. This Training is an activity under the Departmental Program under the project “Promotion on Strengthening of SEAFDEC Visibility and Enhancing Human Capacity Building”.
