National Workshop: EAFM Implementation: Sharing Results and Lessons Learned from 2025, and Activities & Planning for 2026 of Koh Panyee (Phang Nga) and Rawai (Satun)

The national workshop “EAFM Implementation: Sharing Results and Lessons Learned from 2025, and Activities & Planning for 2026 — Koh Panyee (Phang Nga) and Rawai (Satun)” was held on 25 September 2025 at the Phuket Marine Fisheries Research and Development Center with 17 participants from the Department of Fisheries, SEAFDEC/TD, local government, community core teams, and EAFM trainers. Koh Panyee and Rawai FMU core team presented 2025 achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, while stakeholders reviewed progress in resource monitoring, habitat protection, and community-based management practices.

Participants collaboratively identified clear priorities and workplans for 2026 aligned with national and regional goals under the BOBLME framework, and prepared materials for the upcoming regional workshop. The workshop strengthened partnerships among government, and communities, leaving a shared commitment to advance practical EAFM measures that balance ecological health and local livelihoods.
