Regional Training Course on Container Inspection

The SEAFDEC Training Course (SEAFDEC/TD) organized “The Regional Training Course on Port State Measures Inspection in Focus of Shipping Container for Fish and Fisheries Product” in collaboration with partners, namely the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and USAID from 13 to 15 September 2022, at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. There were 14 participants from the ASEAN Member States who have been engaged in the implementation of port control and inspection of fish and fisheries product importation via sea in container vessels, land, and air transportation attending this training. The Training aims to build up the understanding and capacity of the participants on inspection of fish and fisheries product importation via sea in container vessels, land and air transportation, and enhance the knowledge, skills, and experience of the participants on inspection of fish and fisheries product importation. The training focused on lectures and practice on how to inspect containers. In the end, the participants are expected to Increase their knowledge, skills, and experience in inspection of fish and fisheries product importation via sea in container vessels, land, and air transportation.
