SEAFDEC/TD Welcomed Samut Prakan Marine Fisheries Research and Development Center

The Training Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC/TD) welcomed seven officials and internship students from the Samut Prakan Marine Fisheries Research and Development Center on 22 May 2026. The visit aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge of fishing gear technology through comprehensive briefings and technical presentations provided by SEAFDEC fishing technology researchers. This visit allowed visitors and SEAFDEC researchers to share insights, experiences, and recent advancements in fishing gear development.

Following the discussion, the delegation was guided on a study tour aboard the research vessel, M.V. SEAFDEC. This hands-on experience provided the visitors with a closer look at advanced marine research equipment and shipboard operations. The tour significantly broadened their understanding of marine fishery resource surveys, further strengthening the collaborative bond and knowledge-sharing between the two organizations.
