TD Quarterly Meetings

The SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) convened its Quarterly Meetings on 24 December 2025 and 6 January 2026 to review the implementation of projects endorsed at the 48th SEAFDEC Program Committee Meeting (2–4 December 2024). A total of 23 projects and programs are currently under implementation by TD, with the meetings attended by 38 TD staff (17 female and 21 male), including Division Heads, Senior Researchers, Section Heads, and officers from the Research and Development Division (RDD), Training and Research Supporting Division (TRSD), and Project Planning and Management Division (PPMD). Organized by PPMD, the meetings aimed to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project implementation. Section Heads presented updates on project progress, budget utilization for Q3 and Q4 of 2025, and the status of projects under development. The meetings also provided a platform to discuss implementation challenges, share experiences, and identify practical solutions to ensure timely delivery of outputs. In addition, proposed annual work plans for 2026 and planned activities for Q1 of 2026 were presented. Overall, the outcomes of the Quarterly Meetings are expected to enhance project coordination, improve implementation effectiveness, and strengthen the delivery of TD programs in support of sustainable fisheries development in the region.
