Training Course on Fish Larvae Phase II

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) organized “The Regional Training Course on Fish Larvae Phase II: Determining Spawning-nursing Ground and Season Using Larvae Survey Results” from 28 November to 3 December 2022, at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. The main aim is to improve the skill in the utilization of data from fish larvae surveys to determine fishing grounds and season. There were 26 participants who are fisheries biologists from ASEAN Member States (AMSs) attended this training. The experts from the Seikai National Fisheries Research Institute, Japan; Burapha University; Ubon Ratchathani University; Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University were invited to be resource persons. In the end, the participants understood and improved their knowledge and skill in capacity research on determining spawning ground and season through strengthened regional cooperation on larval fish networking. This training was organized as an activity under the project “Sustainable Utilization of Fisheries Resources and Resources Enhancement in Southeast Asia”.
