Regional Workshop on Information Exchange on Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) for Combating IUU Fishing in Southeast Asia

On 19 February 2026, the SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) welcomed a delegation of four representatives from the Regional Strategic Assistance (RSA) Section of the U.S. Embassy Bangkok. SEAFDEC Strategic Planning Meeting on Fisheries Acoustics for Stock Assessments in Southeast Asia

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) hosted the “SEAFDEC Strategic Planning Meeting on Fisheries Acoustics for Stock Assessments in Southeast Asia” from 17 to 18 February 2026 at SEAFDEC/TD, Samut Prakan, Thailand. Study Visit on Community-based Management and Sustainable Livelihoods at Ban Tha Din Daeng Model, Phang Nga Province, Thailand

On 15 February 2026, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD), cooperated with the Phuket Marine Fisheries Research and Development Center to organize a study visit for community representatives from Koh Panyee, Phang Nga Province, to the Ban Tha Din Daeng Model Community in Ban Tha Din Daeng. M.V. SEAFDEC 2 Launches Joint Fisheries Resources Survey in Myanmar Waters

SEAFDEC/TD, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries Myanmar and Myanmar Universities, is conducting a mission on “Fisheries Resources Survey in the Myanmar Waters by M.V. SEAFDEC 2” from 12 February to 2 April 2026. The survey aims to assess the status of marine fisheries resources and environment information in Taninthayi Coastal Fishing Area, Myanmar waters together with the capacity building for both SEAFDEC/TD and Myanmar researchers.
