Data Collection on Gender Dimension of Small-scale Inland Fisheries in Myanmar

The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Myanmar conducted The Data Collecting on Gender Dimension in the Value Chain of Small-scale Inland Fisheries in Kyauktan, Yangon Region, Myanmar from 24 to 28 May 2021. This activity was supported by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).  The data collection aims to collect the raw data for analysis of the roles of women and men in inland fisheries in Kyauktan, Yangon Region, Myanmar. The enumerators of the data collection are composed of National Focal Point of Myanmar and three women staff from DOF who have been trained on gender concept and gender analysis.  There were 40 respondents (12 females and 28 males) were interviewed by semi-structure questionnaire.  The results of the survey will be a part of the report on the study on Gender Dimension in the Value Chain of Small-scale Fisheries and Aquaculture in Southeast Asian.
