Essential Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management Training Course

SEAFDEC/TD organized a “Training Course on Essential Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (E-EAFM)” from 10 to 14 June 2024 in Trang Province, Thailand. Twenty-four participants were officers and work relevant to fisheries resource management in the Lower Andaman Coastline from the Department of Fisheries (20 persons) and the Department of Marine Coastal Resources (4 persons) attended the Training. The participants were expected to apply and extend their knowledge and skills to their work. Moreover, the appropriate 10 participants who passed this E-EAFM training course will be further trained in the Training of the Trainers on EAFM (TOT-EAFM) to equip them with the inclusive knowledge and skills of EAFM in becoming the EAFM trainers/key persons/core team in implementing the EAFM in the selected learning sites of Thailand.
This Training is an activity under the project “Sustainable Management for Fisheries, Marine Living Resources and their Habitats in the Bay of Bengal Region for the Benefit of Coastal States and Communities”.
