The Pramong Nomklao Fair with the theme “Aquatic Arena” was organized by the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Thailand from 28 June to 7 July 2024 at the Future Park Shopping Mall in Pathumthani Province, Thailand. The Fair has been held annually since 1986 to impart knowledge relevant to fisheries to the public. The income generated from the Fair is donated to the cancer research of the Chulabhorn Research Institute. The SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) joined the Fair and exhibited oceanographic surveys. The oceanographic equipment was presented in the exhibition such as Bongo net for collect plankton, sediment grab, CTD which standing for “Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth” is a vital instrument when conducting scientific research on ships. The sampling of deep-sea fish and fish larvae were also presented at the SEAFDEC/TD booth. Moreover, information materials such as technical publications, brochures, and posters were distributed to promote the activities of SEAFDEC.
