On 19 February 2026, the SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) welcomed a delegation of four representatives from the Regional Strategic Assistance (RSA) Section of the U.S. Embassy Bangkok. During the visit, the delegation toured SEAFDEC/TD’s specialized facilities including the M.V. SEAFDEC research vessel, the Fishing Workshop, and the Marine Engineering Workshop to observe the technical capacity supporting regional fisheries development. This visit provided a productive opportunity for both teams to review their ongoing work plan and discuss key deliverables under their collaborative project, ensuring that all joint efforts remain effective and well-coordinated.

Beyond the technical updates, the engagement aimed to bolster the partnership and ensure full alignment on shared objectives for sustainable fisheries. This collaborative session reinforced the commitment of both SEAFDEC and the U.S. Embassy to working closely together, streamlining their efforts toward a prosperous and well-managed marine sector in the region.
