Technical Assistance for Malaysia on eACDS Training Course

Four staff from the SEAFDEC Training Department who are responsible for the electronic ASEAN Catch Documentation Scheme (eACDS) were invited from the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Malaysia for technical assistance on the training course on the use of eACDS application from 12-14 September 2023 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The training was organized by DOF, Malaysia, and supported by The ASEAN Regional Integration Support by the European Union Plus Malaysia (ARISE Plus Malaysia) Project. The training aims to impart knowledge on the use of eACDS application for the traceability of fish and fishery products which supports inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Malaysia through international trade and economic integration. Fifteen participants who are responsible for information technology officers of DOF, Malaysia attended the training. The participants were expected to be the trainers to impart knowledge on the use of eACDS application for DOF staff and stakeholders in the future.

In addition, four SEAFDEC/TD on eACDS team were invited for technical assistance as the same subject of the training for DOF, Malaysia staff in Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu, and Perlis which will be organized from 24 to 27 September 2023, 23 to 26 October 2023, and 20 to 23 November 2023 respectively.
