SEAFDEC/TD facilitates Brunei Darussalam for the eACDS application implementation

SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) facilitated on install the electronic ASEAN Catch Documentation Scheme (eACDS) application to Brunei Darussalam server from 23 to 25 July 2024 at Capture Fisheries Industry Division, Fish Landing Complex Muara, Brunei Darussalam. This facilitation is to response the requested by Brunei Darussalam during the 56th Meeting of the SEAFDEC Council in 2024. In this regard, two days of the “Practical Training on Installation of the eACDS Application to Server” was organized for IT technical officers, two from the Department of Fisheries (DOF), and two from the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism of Brunei Darussalam. Moreover, one day of re-training on the use of eACDS application was organized. There were six participants who were new staff from DOF, Brunei Darussalam attended this re-training. The participants practiced on the use of eACDS application in the part of Catch Declaration (CD), Movement Document (MD), Statement of Catch (SC), and Catch Certification (CC) via web-based and mobile applications for more understanding which facilitated and assisted by SEAFDEC/TD staff.

The eACDS application is a prototype software for enhancing a traceability of fish and fishery products which developed by SEAFDEC/TD and implemented in Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Viet Nam as requested.
