SEAFDEC Training Department (SEAFDEC/TD) welcomed six delegates from the Skill Development Institute, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Lao PDR on 7 June 2024. The introduction of SEAFDEC through role and implementation activities for ASEAN Member States (AMSs) was presented. On this occasion, the possible capacity building to support Lao PDR fishers on basic fishing gear construction, fishing techniques, and fishing gear-making were discussed and consulted. Moreover, the delegates observed TD’s facilities as fishing workshop and marine engineering workshop respectively.
